Websites such as HotelTonight in the United States, LateRooms in the United Kingdom and Europe, Hot Hotels in Spain, Hotel Quickly in Asia, and others have carved out a specific niche in the online travel agency landscape. The perception is that consumers use these sites solely to find cheap, last-minute deals on hotel rooms. That’s partly true, since many travelers also use these sites merely to find a room at the next interstate exit or 50 miles down the road. In this case, it’s a matter of convenience as much as price.
